Revisions and Reminders

Summit County Risk Level: Level Three – Red

Given the current circumstances with the rise in Covid cases, the re-opening team has reevaluated our re-opening plans and made some revisions and adjustments to those plans.

We will NOT be worshipping in person this Sunday as we had hoped.

And we will not worship in person in the Sanctuary during the month of November. Online worship will be our method of worshipping together.

However, on Sunday mornings from 10:00am -12:00 pm, the Sanctuary will be open for anyone who would like to stop by the church and sit in the Sanctuary to pray, have some quite time, take communion or just enjoy some time in that sacred space. Jim and Ali will be at church Sunday mornings to connect with you, pray with you and be present for anyone who wishes to stop by.

This Sunday, November 1st, which is All Saint’s Day, you are welcome to stop by the Sanctuary between 10-12 to light a candle in honor or memory of a loved on you have lost.

The re-opening team is looking at several possibilities for December that involve in person worship. We will share those plans as we move closer to December.

Additional Announcements:

Gratitude statements – We want to know what you are grateful for! We are working on a special Thanksgiving service and we would like to share all the things that you are grateful for during that service. You can email, call, text, or share them on our church’s Facebook page. Sometime between now and Nov. 15 please send us the things that you are grateful for.

Buckeye orders – You have a few more days to order your buckeyes! You can contact Brenda, Lisa, or call the church to place your order. Buckeyes are $4.50 a dozen and can be ordered until November 3rd.

Youth Group Auction –  A reminder that the Youth Group Silent Auction ends on November 7th. Go to www.myminiauction.com/nhccyouthgroup to place your bids.

Thank you from Jim and Ali – We would like to thank the congregation for the gifts you gave us for pastor appreciation month. We were both humbled and appreciative of your thoughtfulness and generosity. We both feel very blessed to be a part of this church and are thankful that God has called us to serve as your pastors. Thank you.

Sanctuary open on Tuesdays: Just a reminder that the Sanctuary is open from 10 to 2 every Tuesday while Jim and Ali are at the church. If you wish to stop by to sit in the Sanctuary and pray you are more than welcome to do that.

Food – A note from Rose: “We are beginning to think of Thanksgiving and we are in great need of boxed instant potatoes, canned pumpkin (already has the spices), canned green beans and corn. (Any vegetable or canned fruit is appreciated.) Cake mixes and frostings, canned sweet potatoes, canned or jar of gravy.  Don’t forget evaporated milk.”
Thanks -Rose
