This Sunday: Pat and Karen Burridge light the third candle of our Advent wreath – our Peace candle. Ali’s message based on Isaiah 11:1-10 is titled “Is Peace Possible?” Join us in worship at 9AM on Sunday on our YouTube channel or watch at whatever time is convenient for you.
Looking Ahead: Jim will preach “Are You Ready to Shout for Joy?” next Sunday, December 20th.
CHRISTMAS EVE UPDATE: After meeting with the Re-opening Team and the Elder’s, it was unanimously agreed upon that doing anything in person, even outside, on Christmas Eve wasn’t in the best interest of everyone’s safety. There will be no in-person service on Christmas Eve. However, there WILL BE a special Christmas Eve worship service available ONLINE. We are working on a number of different elements to create a special online Christmas Eve service that will include some familiar faces, voices, and special music. The online Christmas Eve service will be available on our YouTube channel by 5:00pm, on December 24th.
Advent Devotional Books are available at the church office or we can mail one to you. Just contact Rose.
Helping children and families this Christmas Update. Even though we don’t have our giving tree to take a child’s name and gift preference this year, we are still able to help a number of children and their families. Rose compiled a list of needs, shared that with the everyone and the church responded quickly and generously. There are still a few items that are needed so please contact Rose if you are able to help. THANK YOU for your continued generosity!
PICTURES NEEDED! We are working on a special addition for our Online Christmas Eve service. But we need pictures of all of you to make that happen! We are looking for pictures of you and your family near the Christmas tree, Advent wreath or somewhere in your home or outside. This is going to be a fun addition to worship so please snap a quick shot and text or email your pictures to Jim, Ali or Sam. We need all the pictures in by Tuesday, December 15. We can’t wait to see all the fun pictures you all will share!
BLESSING BOX UPDATE: As the weather is growing colder, our blessing box needs some different items. During these cold winter months, as the food items in the box will be susceptible to freezing, it has been suggested that the Blessing Box be filled with non-perishable items that do NOT have liquid in them. Dry good items such as cereal, boxed pasta, instant rice, instant mashed potatoes, oatmeal, granola bars, cereal bars, and other items without liquid in them were suggested. You can add your items in the Blessing Box at any time! Thank you for all you have given to help keep our Blessing Box stocked!
YOU’RE INVITED!!!
