The theme for this week is AWARENESS and the object of focus for this week is a MATCH.
Our Lenten series this year is inspired by the book “The Ultimate Exodus: Finding Freedom from what Enslaves you” written by Danielle Strickland.

Prayer for the Second Sunday of Lent From our Lenten Devotional

Most gracious heavenly Father,
Each day we are consumed with this world. The daily news bombards our homes and our thoughts. We worry and we pray to you to deliver us from a devastating pandemic, to provide jobs and economic relief to those in need, to provide leadership to a government in discord, to bring equity to people of all races and creeds. The monumental concerns of every day are overwhelming and Lord we are tired. Too tired at times to be aware of the quite urging of your voice.
But Lord at this time we ask you to open our hearts and minds to You. Let us listen and trust your voice. Let us recognize the beauty in the world that you have given us. May we feel the love and caring that exists in your people. Allow us to be truly open to the beauty that lives in your people and your creation. May we recognize your hand in our lives and respond with devoted hearts.
Father give us the wisdom to know that we need to quite our minds, dampen our worries and reach out to you. For the grace that you offer us is beyond our comprehension and far more than the world has to offer, for your love knows no limits.
In your son Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen
NHCC WOMEN’S GROUP ZOOM MEETINGS: Every Wednesday evening during Lent, from 7-8 pm, Ali will be leading a Zoom gathering for the women of NHCC. We will spend an hour together checking in with one another and discussing the Lent theme for each week. If you would like to be connected to our women’s group page on Facebook, have the Zoom link emailed to you or you have any questions, please let Ali know. Our next Zoom gathering will be Wednesday, March 3rd.
CONGREGATIONAL VOTING AND SURVEY: Earlier this week the 2021 Budget and 2021 Elder Nominations were emailed to the congregation. Attached to that email was the online ballot for you to vote on both items. The online ballot also contains three additional survey questions about returning to in-person worship. Please take a few moments to vote and fill out the survey.
All voting is to be completed by March 5th. If you have any questions about the online ballot and survey, let Jim or Ali know.
FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS and INFORMATION:
The funeral for Pam Isokov will be at the church on Tuesday March 2 at 1pm. There will be visiting from 12-1, just prior to the service that same day at the church. Visitation will also be on Monday March 1st at Newcomer from 5-7pm.
