MASK UPDATE REMINDER….
According to the new recommendations by the CDC and the Summit County Health Department, New Horizons is now requiring that masks must be worn while you are inside the church building.
The Re-opening Team will continue watching the Covid situation and will continue to follow the CDC and Summit County’s Health Department’s guidelines for our church. We want to make sure we are doing our part to protect one another.
Please wear your masks while inside the building. If you do not have a mask or forget yours, masks will be available.
Worship Information for Sunday August 15th
This Sunday, August 15th, our “Powerful and Puzzling Parables” series continues. This week our scripture is from Matthew 20: 1-16 and the sermon title is “The Generous Landowner”
Our 9:00am service will be inside in the Sanctuary.
Our 10:45 am service will be outside in the parking lot – weather permitting.
Our online service will be available at 9:00 am and any time after that. Join us in person or online.
Looking Ahead:
Sunday, August 15th – 9:00 am Worship in the Sanctuary
10:45 am – Worship inside in the Sanctuary
WORSHIP SERVICE CHANGES:
On Sunday, August 29th we move to a new “Fall Sunday Schedule” with only one worship service on Sunday mornings at 10:45 am.
That also means that our online worship service will not be available on Sunday mornings until 10:45 am.
Only two more weeks of our “Summer Sunday Schedule” with a 9:00 am worship option.
Event Update: Ali Miguel’s Ordination is Sunday August 29th!
You are invited to a rare and exciting event at our church. Ali Miguel will be ordained into Christian Ministry on Sunday August 29 at 3PM in our sanctuary. We have not had an ordination at New Horizons this century, and this service is an affirmation not only of Ali but of our entire church community. Please plan to attend. It will be historic.

Reminder From the Girl Scouts: This Saturday, August 15th, from 1-3 our Girl Scout troop 90094 will sponsor the Back-to-School backpack give-a-way in the church parking lot. If you know of anyone who could use some back-to-school supplies, please send them to the church on Saturday from 1-3.
Baby Back Pack Update: We will be recounting items this week for our Baby Backpack mission project. Once we have a final count of items, we will let you know what we might be in need of. Thank you to all who have contributed to this mission project. We appreciate your generosity!
Website Update: Over the next month, we are working on shutting down our old website. This website will become the only website for New Horizons Christian Church. Please be aware of this change as this webpage might start looking a little different as we make this change.
