If you would like to nominate someone to serve in one of these rolls, or you would like to continue serving in one of these rolls, please fill out a nomination form and turn it into to the elders. LOOKING AHEAD…

ALL SAINTS DAY: Sunday, October 31st is All Saints Day and we will be holding a special worship service that morning. We will be remembering our church members who have passed away this past year. Join us online or in person to celebrate and remember our loved ones. If you have any questions, please contact Pastor Ali

CHURCH COMMUNICATION CHANGES: Bulletins: Starting on the first Sunday in November, bulletins will be used during worship. Because of this change, we will no longer send out weekly blog updates. Starting in November our blog updates will change to monthly updates instead of weekly. Weekly church information will go in the bulletins. If you worship online, you can have the weekly bulletin emailed to you if you would like. Contact Rose to make sure she has your correct email address.

Website change: Starting November 1, we will finally be down to just one website. The web address is www.newhorizonschristianchurch.com If you are looking for church information, that’s where it will be.

SENSORY MAT ASSEMBLY: On Thursday November 11th at 6:00pm, we will meet at the church to make “Sensory Mats”.  These mats are for Summa Hospital patients who are struggling with head trauma, dementia, strokes and other health issues.  Everything is provided.  Please let Rose or Jeanine Harvey know if you can help.

THE HOLIDAY BIZARR: is on November 6th from 8:00AM-3:00PM.  This is being hosted by our Girl Scout Troop 90094.

THE WEEKEND BACKPACK PROGRAM: We are in need of Peanut Butter and Jelly for weekend food bags that go the families at the Betty Jane Community Learning Center. Please drop your donations off in the big purple bin outside the Sanctuary. It will be marked “Backpack Food Program.” Please make sure the peanut butter and jelly are in plastic containers. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Helen or Jane.

BLESSING BOX: With colder temperatures headed our way, please remember to bring things for the blessing box that do not have liquid in them. Items with liquid in them will freeze and will no longer be able to be used. Thanks!

MASK REMINDER…

According to the continued recommendations by the CDC and the Summit County Health Department, New Horizons continues to request that masks be worn while you are inside the church building.

We want to make sure we are doing our part to protect one another. If you do not have a mask or forget yours, masks will be available.
