February 23 and Beyond at New Horizons

We end our series on Jesus through the Eyes of Matthew this Sunday when we examine Matthew 5:21-37. Our Sermon title will be “It’s Even More Than You Heard.”

Worship and Wonder will be hearing the Story of the Great Banquet.

A breakfast and lesson for our children will be available at 9:30AM in Fellowship Hall.

Looking Ahead –

Lent: “Do You Believe in Miracles?

The first Sunday of Lent is Sunday March 1, and we will have our annual Prayer Service at 10:45AM to prepare us for our Lenten journey.

Our Lenten Theme will be “Do You Believe in Miracles?” which will be based on the miracles of Jesus in the Gospel of John plus insights from the video series “Grave Robber.” Two short term small groups around that theme will be held – one on Wednesdays at 7PM and one on Sundays at 9:30AM. The Wednesday group will begin on March 4 and the Sunday group will begin on March 15.

Special Meetings

Our Board will have its quarterly meeting on Tuesday March 3. This meeting is open to everyone and will contain exciting news about the future of New Horizons Christian Church.

A Congregational Conversation will be held on Sunday March 8 at 9:30AM in Fellowship Hall to discuss the news from the Board meeting. We encourage all adult Sunday School classes to be part of this discussion as well as anyone else who can attend.

The Youth Chili Cook-Off will be Sunday March 15 after the Worship Service

Thank you to Rose Aungst and all who helped her in providing two funeral dinners last weekend. It was a great blessing.
